A useful anchor is about a 10-hour cell cycle. There is no single clean “fastest human cell” record because individual-cycle minima, sustained population doubling, transformed cells, and primary cells give different answers. Human embryonic stem cells are usually around 15–16 hours, while individual human hTERT-immortalized fibroblasts have been observed near 10–12 hours. (PubMed Central (PMC)) I will use 10 hours → 100 years, because it gives an especially intuitive scale.
